Welcome to 2010 at Cwmllechwedd Fawr, a working hill farm of just over one hundred acres nestling in the unspoiled Radnorshire hills of Mid Wales. Choose bed and breakfast breaks with us and enjoy peace and quiet, fine food and the tranquility of the Marches ancient and beautiful landscapes. Our prices are: £60 bed and breakfast for a double / twin room per night, £35 for single occupancy, and £20 for a three course evening meal. Prices include VAT at the current rate. Please bear in mind that smoking is an 'outdoor' activity. As we do not have an alcohol licence feel free to bring your own. Use the navigation buttons above to explore the site and see pictures (occasionally seasonal..) of Cwmllechwedd Fawr, its surroundings and some of its (smaller) inhabitants. ...and don't forget, regular NEWS. Pic above: the house with new solar panel in place, enjoying autumn sunshine. |

So, how do you pronounce the name and what does it mean? Cwm (the 'w' as the 'u' in put) - llech (similar to 'loch') - wedd (the 'dd' is soft). Fawr (rather like 'vow-er' as the Welsh 'f' is a 'v'.) ...and it means something along the lines of 'the great quary valley'... |
